Emily Gonzalez is an English and Spanish-speaking real estate agent at The Proper Nest. Growing up in a family who moved frequently, Emily resonates with her clients’ desire to find a place to call home. After Emily and her husband bought their first house in 2020, she decided to go into real estate and help others achieve the dream of homeownership. 

Today, Emily helps buyers, renters, and sellers across Greater Boston in different stages of life - whether they are looking to buy their first home, looking to sell a family home and downsize, or find a cozy rental to call home. Emily uses her sense of humor, patience, accessibility, and love of education to turn the tricky and confusing real estate experience into an exciting and comfortable journey. 

Originally from Minnesota, Emily came to Boston in 2010 to get her masters in library science and history. She then served as the archivist/librarian for the Cambridge Historical Commission for six years. There she gained knowledge of architecture and historic house regulations, and developed an invaluable network of architects, real estate professionals, and community leaders. Emily sees parallels between librarians and real estate agents – both utilize their expertise, resources, and emotional intelligence to help people find what they want and need.  

Emily lives in Salem, Mass. with her husband and her cat. When she’s not selling real estate, you can find her volunteering with her local animal rescue, spending time at Crane Beach, or visiting friends.
